So, I finally watched the remake of Fright Night last night.  It’s funny, when I went to bed last night, I remember thinking… “that wasn’t too bad.”  But, the more I think about it, the less I liked it.

Some might say that you shouldn’t compare a remake to the original–I think that’s bullshit.  How many remakes are ever better than the originals?  I think you should totally compare them.  Let’s face facts, remakes, re-imaginings, and reboots are the most unnecessary evil in our world today.  Worse than AIDS, cancer, hunger, war, poverty, sad puppies, and my life all put together.  They’re the epitome of lazy, unimaginative thinking and the greediness of bankrolling something awesome into something profitable.  Fuck remakes and the people that make them.  Sorry to make you blush, gentle readers, but it’s true.  I’ll try not to spend all my time comparing them, but…
